Abstract
This edition of the Water Wheel Magazine focuses on innovations in the sanitation value chain funded through the WRC's sanitation research programme. Articles cover reinvented non-sewered sanitation technologies that meet the Gates Foundation Reinvent the Toilet Challenge criteria, nutrient recovery from human excreta, sludge-to-energy conversion, and policy drivers for accelerating sanitation service delivery in peri-urban South Africa.
